Valerian & the city of a thousand planets

Back in 2015, I was lucky enough to be part of the incredible team working on Luc Besson movie "Valerian & the city of a thousand planets". I spent 6 months working on it as a Graphic Artist within the Art Department team, making graphic design, 3D & 3D printing for several sets & props. I had several tasks and it included taking the initial 2d sketches from concept artists such as Ben Mauro, Marc Simonetti, Charlie Clerc, Patrick Tandiang, Benoît Maillochon or Medhi Boukhezzer to name just a few... and to translate it into 3D. I had to model lifesize sets & props in 3D for 3D printing. I was also a problem solver for design matters to match the prop makers needs. And finally a graphic designer to create and apply various graphic elements on props and sets... Here are some screenshots from the movie to show a bit of my work...
I hope you will like it as much as I enjoyed working on this movie. Amazing experience amongst an incredible team and surrounded by talented people!

Trash Corridor.
Same process. Concept by Charlie Clerc and 3d modeling by me in 1:1 scale (except the reactor in the background, done by Jérémy Mariez), before 3d printing. The prop makers did the rest and applied some wizardry to have this final look!

End title credits.
It's always fun to see your name at the end... and a 1st one for me!
